How I Started a New Blog from Scratch
My first attempts at blogging were a huge flop. Seriously, I tried over and over to create this amazing and beautiful blog that would get thousands of visitors every week. And oh, by the way, would also generate a ton of income for me. It was possible right? I mean, I saw successful bloggers all over the place doing it, so it must be!
Needless to say, successful blogging and monetization didn’t happen for me right away. It wasn’t for a lack of trying though. I read all the articles, scoured the internet for information, tried courses, and practiced a lot of trial and error. Eventually, I would give up because I felt like I was wasting a lot of time, energy, and MONEY.
I found plenty of information, but it completely overwhelmed me and trying different methods simply confused me even more. I had started other online businesses over the years, so I kept thinking to myself, what am I missing?
And then, the pandemic hit and lit a fire under me, and I decided this was it. Time to figure this blog thing out and finally accomplish my dream of starting a blog and website that would help, encourage, and inspire other women in their lives and businesses too. I wanted to figure this out so that I could help and teach others to do this too, and without all of the confusion that I went through.
After many more hours of research and trial and error, I finally figured out what I had been missing. The answer was so simple and had been right in front of me for years! I created a simple blog on Squarespace, partnered up with some affiliate programs, and started implementing a Pinterest strategy that actually worked. It worked so well in fact, that I started making money from my blog within 2 days!
The second week, my blog income doubled, and continued to double plus more every week! Right along with it, my Pinterest views were growing by thousands every day, and I was honestly in shock. The strategy that I had implemented was working! I ended up making $1387 in my first month and my Pinterest views went from around 10k/month to over 800K! Over the last year, my blog income has continued to grow at an incredible rate, bringing me to the goal of almost every blogger. Six figures!
